About Me

Professional Experience:

With 35 years of experience in Ontario classrooms and special education, I help learners of all ages flourish. My professional career includes 31+years with the Near North District School Board and various roles with the Ministry of Education. Most recently I have been working as a teacher mentor with Sick Kids Hospital’s Empower™ Reading and Learning Group.

I founded CereFleurish Education Services to continue my work by providing neuro-affirming support that moves away from deficit models and toward a celebration of individual strengths.

Lived Experience:

My work is deeply personal. As a mother, I have spent years supporting and advocating for my two sons, one a graduate from Fanshawe’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program and the other a current Western Engineering student. I combine this parental empathy with professional expertise to help you navigate school, work, and home as your most authentic self.

Personal Passions:

When I’m not working, I enjoy a quiet life with my pets in my log home, doing watercolour painting, playing guitar and bass, and spending time in nature.

Service Delivery:

While I offer some in-person sessions, advocacy and support from Muskoka to North Bay, my practice is primarily online. This allows me to provide secure, accessible advocacy and coaching to families across Ontario and beyond.
